HAZRAT SYED MUHAMMAD AL-HASSANI AL-HUSSAINI POPULARLY KNOWN AS KHWAJA BANDA NAWAZ GESU-DARAAZ BULAND PARVAAZ NAMUDAAN-E-SARFARAAZ ( SHAHEENSHAH-E-DACCAN ) ( KHWAJA-E-DACCAN) QADDAS ALLAHU SIRRA UL AZEEZ, GULBARGA SHAREEF, KARNATAKA,INDIA

Kashf ke qhayal nahin joh Auliya Allah ke

Khwaja Qaseer ( Rahmatullah Allaih ), Bangalore.



His name as well as patronymic was Abul-Fatah Rahmatullahi Allaih and Gesu Daraaz Rahmatullahi Allaih his title. Among the scholars and theologians he was Sheikh Abul-Fatah Sadr Uddin Muhammad Dehlavi but people called him Khawaja Banda Nawaz Gesu-Daraaz Rahmatullahi Allaih.

Parentage
He was the descendant of Hazrat Ali ( Karam Allahu Wajhu ). His forefathers resided in Hirat. One of them came to Delhi and settled down here. Hazrat Sheikh Muhammad Rahmatullahi Allaih was born here on 4, Rajab, 721 Hijri. His father Hazrat Syed Yousuf-bin-Ali alias Syed Raja Rahmatullahi Allaih was a holy figure and devoted to Hazrat Khwaja Nizam Uddin Aulia Rahmatullahi Allaih.

Sultan Muhammad-bin Tughlaq once transferred his capital to Daulatabad (Devgiri) and along with him went many scholars, theologians, and mystics. His parents also migrated to the place. He was four years at the time Malik-ul-Umar Hazrat Syed Ibrahim Mustafa, his maternal uncle, was the governor of Daulatabad.



Childhood and Early Education

From the very beginning his father put him on the right track i.e. to learn and to study and gave him his early education. From his childhood he was inclined towards Religion and spent time in meditation and prayer. He was ten when his father died and his maternal grand father assumed the responsibility of his education and training and taught him initial books but he took lessons on "Misbah" and "Qadoori" from another teacher.



Again in Delhi

On the expiry of her father his mother grew angry with her brother, and returned to Delhi. He was fifteen at the time. He had heard a lot about Hazrat Nizam Uddin Auliya Rahmatullahi Allaih and Hazrat Nasir Uddin Roshan Chiragh Dehlavi Rahmatullahi Allaih from his father and maternal grand father and grew devoted to them. One day he went to say his prayer in the Jama-Majid of Sultan Qutub Uddin, there he saw Hazrat Sheikh Nasir Uddin Mahmud Chiragh Dehlavi and pledged Obedience to him on 16, Rajab.


Completion of Outer and intrinsic studies.

Under the guidance of Peer-o-Murshid Hazrat Khwaja Nasir uddin Roshan Chiragh Dehlavi Qaddas Allahu Sirra ul Azeez he engaged himself in prayers and meditation and so much enjoyed them that lie forbade studies and requested his teacher to allow him to do so. Hazrat Nasir Uddin Rahmatullahi Allaih strictly denied him permission and instructed him to study with attention Usool-e-Bizoori, Risals Shamsia, Kashaf, Misbah so he restarted the studies under the guidance of renowned teachers. Maulana Syed Sheriff Uddin Kaithli, Maulana Taj Uddin Muqaddam and Maulana Qazi Abdul Muqtadir and qualified for the degree at the age of nineteen.



Title Gesu-Daraaz

One day he with other disciples lifted the palanquin bearing Hazrat Khwaja Nasir Uddin Rahmatullahi Allaih. His long hair stuck into the foot of the palki and pained him severely but he did not disentangle them for love and respect to the teacher. When Hazrat Nasir Uddin learnt of the episode, he was overjoyed and recited the Persian couplet



Har ki murid Syed gesu daraaz shud
Vallah khilaf-e-nest ki Uoo ishq baaz shud.

(Meaning: "Syed Gesu Daraazhas pledged his obedience; there is nothing wrong in it because he has deeply fallen in love)."

After this incidence he was entitled Gesu-Daraaz Rahmatullahi Allaih.


Books

He was a great scholar on material as well as spiritual subjects. He left many books. It is said, he was the first writer of a magazine on mysticism in Urdu. He wrote about 100 books on Persian and Arabic. Some of them are:

Stay at Gulbarga

Having lived for about 44 years in Delhi he went to Gulbarga. He was eighthly at that time. Firoz Shah Bahmani ruled over the Deccan during this period. He gave him much respect. For a long time he was engaged in religious discourses, sermons, and spiritual training of the people.




Wisal Mubarak

This great scholar, mystic, and the wonderful, guide attained an age of 104 years, died on 16 Ziqa'ad 825 Hijri in Gulbarga and buried there. His tomb is a place of pilgrimage for all the people, high as well as low.

Golden Quotes

If a Salik prays or meditates for fame, his is an atheist.
If one prays or meditates out of fear, he is a cheat and a hypocrite.
So long as a man disengages himself from all the worldly things, he would not step into the road of conduct.
Divide the night into three periods: in the first period say Darud and recitation; in the second sleep and in the third call His name and meditate.
The Salik should be careful in food it should be legitimate.
The Salik should abstain from the company of the worldly people.

Dargah Shareef of Shah Peer Bah-ud-din (RA) Almaroof Langoat Bandh (RA) – Qalandar-e-Haq, Gulbarga Shareef ( this Awliya Allah was the Contemporary of Hazrat Khwaja Banda Nawaz (RA) for whom even Hazrat Khwaja Banda Nawaz (RA) describes as one of the great Majzoobs ). This Dargah is at a few distance from Gulbarga shareef Main Dargah. There are Autos and other means of transport easily available.


Dargah Shareef of Hazrat Khwaja Ahmed Dabeer (RA), the 10th Kaleefa of Hazrat Khwaja Banda Nawaaz Gesu Daraaz Buland Parvaaz Namudaan-e-Sarfaraaz Qaddas Allahu Sirra-ul-Azeez . Hazrat Khwaja Ahmed Dabeer (RA) was a very awliya whose dargah shareef is on Alan
Road.

Dargah of Hazrat Rukn-ud-din Thola (RA) . The title thola was given by Khwaja Banda Nawaaz Gesu Daraaz Buland Parvaaz Namudaan-e-Sarfaraaz Qaddas Allahu Sirra-ul-Azeez . The Dargah Shareef of Rukn-ud-din Thola(RA) is in Alan Road. After visting the dargah shareef of Shah Peer Bah-uddin (RA) it is easy to go to this dargah of Hazrt Rukn-ud-din Thola (RA), where you find good means of transportation facilities which are very nearby from the main dargah of Gulbarga shareef. It is said it is better to eat vegetarian and go the dargah of Hazrat
Rukn-ud-din Thola (RA), which is on a small hill.


Hazrat Shaik Sirajuddin Junnaidi (Qaddas Allahu Sirra ul Azeez) is one the oldest and Greatest Awliya in Gulbarga Shareef. He is descendant of Hazrat Syedina Junaid Baghdadi ( Qaddas Allahu Sirra ul Azeez ). Hazrat Shaik Sirajuddin Junnaidi (Qaddas Allahu Sirra ul Azeez) was one of the greatest awliya . The Urs-e-Shareef is held in Shawwal month on 15,16 and 17th Shawwal.


Hazrat Peer Zanjani (RA), one of the oldest Awliya Gulbarga Shareef.
Some people say he is the khaleef of Hazrat Peer Ashraf Jahangir (RA)
and some people say he is the khaleefa of Hazrat Nizam-ud-din Auliya
(RA).


Dargah Shareef of Hazrat Hissamuddin (Teg Barhana) – Gulbarga



Dargah Shareef of Jat-Pat Bi Bi (RA). Mannats come true very fast here
so the name as jat-pat bi (RA), which is located in Santarash Wadi ,
S.T.V.T Road, Gulbarga



Dargah Shareef of Siddi Basha (RA), one of the great awliya. This
Dargah is near by to Hazrat Khwaja Banda Nawaz Hospital. The Way which
goes toward Gulbarga Railway Station, beside this same area you will
find this Dargah.

Hazrata Qunjamaasa Bi (RA) Dargah near Kapnura Village.
Hazrata Qunjamaasa Bi (RA) is the mureedah of Hazrat Khwaja Naseer
uddin Chirag Delvi (RA). She was a great waliya and famous for many
karamats. There is also a well in the dargah compound and well water
here solves the problem of in curing for those person who are bitten
by snakes or dogs or other poisonous animals or creatures.


Historical Jamia Masjid of Gulbarga Shareef –Bahami kingdom period’s –
Opposite to this Masjid and Qilla the Dargah shareef of Hazrat Syed Ashraf Jahangir Qadri (RA) who is known as Ghous-e-Daccan, he is the descendant of Hazrat Syedina Hazrat Qazi Syed Shah Maulana Abdul Qadeer ( RA), who himself constructed this masjid by his sacred hands. Hazrat Maualana Qadeer (RA) was a great Alim-e-Deen and a great Awliya who is also thePeer-o-murshid of Great Awliya Hazrat Ladalay Mashayak (RA). The Dargah hareef of Hazrat Abdul Qadeer (RA) is 2 or 2.5 miles from Gulbarga Shareef in Sultanpur Taluk, Gulbarga.. The Urs Shareef is held in the last days of Jammadus-sani month. There is a well which is has healing effects so many people take bath from the water of this well and curse many diseases.
